Painting Your Basement Adds Value to Twin Cities Homes
Creating a plan for any basement renovation project starts with deciding how to finish the large surfaces: flooring, walls, and ceiling.
Next, suitable paint is selected, often using a light color to brighten the space and create a more inviting feeling. Graham Nunn Painting is mindful of moisture concerns by selecting a mold-resistant paint and properly preparing the surfaces with primer.
Basement Improvement: Before and After Painting
Painting Basement Woodwork, Walls & Ceilings
This interesting interior painting project entailed painting all woodwork, walls and ceilings throughout the three bedroom, two story home. This article talks about the basement part of our project.
Below is an image of the same project before Graham began his work.

This dramatic basement transformation largely involved three rooms. The project consisted of the large “recreation room”, laundry room, and mechanical room.
They had been neglected for decades by previous owners and had become quite shabby with flaking paint and water stains on the block and stucco walls. The floors were very worn revealing previous coats of red, green and yellow paint. The cabinets in the mechanical room were the original kitchen cabinets and had been painted yellow and green. The butcher block top was also re-finished.
